Hi!! “Weekly Blogging” she proclaimed in January. When we all feel refreshed and able to take on the world…soooo, that’s not going to happen. “Sporadic Blogging” is actually what I should have said because that’s actually what I will do and probably all you guys actually want to read!
Anyway…this week I want to introduce you to another member of The Wild Haven Collective partnership, Cathy. Cathy and I met in 2015 when our boys started Kindy when the idea for our business started. We both loved interior decorating and design and wanted to find a way to fit our family and working lives together.
I sat down with Cathy…only joking…even though we’re in business together we rarely get to sit down for a one on one casual chat! Most days, the person who isn’t in store is dealing with life (that’s the supposed balance and flexibility I was referring to).
Why did you want to start The Wild Haven Collective?
It is a dream. I love working with interiors and homewares and love hunting unique, one of a kind pieces for myself, friends and family.
What is your role within The Wild Haven Collective?
Between Shannon and I, we source and stock the shop, do the online and social media side of the business and enjoy serving customers. There are a million aspects to starting and running your own business and we do it all…except for the books!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I Love spending time with family and friends, pottering in the garden and around home. I love a good book, travelling, a great yoga session and a quiet walk. (Although these things don’t happen often…I need to work on that!)
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about people. Kindness, mindfulness and just good old empathy! My family and friends mean he world to me, which makes me passionate about them and things surrounding them including the world we will leaving behind.
What are you looking forward to in 2018?
Hopefully celebrating a good year at Wild Haven!!
And if effort is anything to go by 2018 will be amazing! What an amazing lady, I’m so fortunate to be in business with Cathy. From cushions, baskets and candles to swimming lessons and figuring out what time the cross country is we pretty much figure it all out together!
Until next time…
